We were uncertain of a place to stay in Chilecito, a town that is centric to cactus exploration of the region, but with few accommodations outside of the town itself. We found one that was unusual, heavily manicured with grass lawns, but close to large natural tracts and somewhat out-of-town. We hoped that insects might find our lights… and some did.
The photos below show places both after we left Monte Zion on way to Chilecito, and after Chilecito, including most of the way to our following night’s stay at San Marcos de la Sierra – more than 200 miles away.
