The Ecoportal was a major destination of this driving trip because we had stayed there 2 nights on our previous trip just over a year earlier and it had the greatest number of insects arriving at our lights. This time there were fewer insects – but still with much diversity and with the usual bird activity and ambience that we appreciate. Light traffic on the dirt road, especially at night. This stay the place’s resident tarantula spent the night in on bathroom (that we didn’t use) and was seen crossing the living room floor. However, we only saw it again at night – outside.
