Alice Springs has a slightly different rainfall histogram than the previous two locations – though it still has maximum rainfall during the warm months. The maximum monthly precip is now only 50mm – 2 inches. While hot during the summer it cools to about 21C (70F) at night. In winter the mean lows can approach freezing (3˚C mean low temp in July) so it certainly can freeze on some nights.
