Mean cloudiness over the Canary Islands. Red is greater frequency of clouds, white pixels (especially south of Gran Canaria) are nearly no cloudiness. High elevations of Tenerife and La Palma have little cloudiness (blue areas) – this is where astronomical telescopes are located. The cloudy parts of most islands lie on the northeast sides of the islands.
