1. Overview of this site

This website has the intent of serving as an educational resource for meteorological services, mostly in developing countries.  Much of the material to be presented here was started while I was employed as a NOAA research scientist in Norman, Oklahoma.  As with most scientists, only a fraction of one’s work every reaches a final publication stage.  To partly remedy this situation – for analyses and work that may still be of use to other scientists and educators, I am building this website to serve as a repository of materials that others may conveniently use for their own applications, whether research or education.
